Maureen Brady will read from her new novel, Getaway, about a woman who stabs her abusive husband and makes her way to the far reaches of Canada, to attempt a start at a new life.

Nati Reyes is a 25 year old New Yorker living at the intersection of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class and national borders and she’s confused. So she writes.”

This series, started in 1999, is hosted by Vittoria repetto – the hardest working guinea butch dyke poet on the lower east side
