Feature Writers:  Miriam Stanley & Tsaurah Litzky

The main theme Miriam Stanley is writing about is how age and generation affects how we interpret current events, nationally and internationally. Her poems reflect how past experiences, especially those of childhood, influence our reaction to the present. 
Tsaurah Litzky writes about the joys and the struggles of life and love, 

about humanity and inhumanity, hope, desperation and giving it your best shot.
Open mike ( for women & trans only) – sign-up at 7 pm – 8 minute limit
Bring your poetry, your prose, your songs, and your spoken word.

$5 suggested donation 

This series, started in 1999, is hosted by Vittoria repetto – the hardest working guinea butch dyke poet on the lower east side.
