Amy Barone’s new but yet to be published collection of sixty-one poems, We Became Summer, features pierces imbued with color and humor that touch on the themes of music, nature, family conflict, and the essence of place. Her ultimate goal is to write and publish poetry that appeals to a broad mix of readers.

Amanda Bradley’s recent book from NYQ books, Queen Kong, opens with a section of prosy autobiographical poems chronicling childhood through graduation from college followed by a middle section of lyric poems. The last section of the book is a collection of feminist poems that she wrote in dialogue with famous feminists across history.

In Amy Barone’s new poetry chapbook, Kamikaze Dance, she write about nature, music, and the essence of place, including her Pennsylvania hometown, Rio, the Greek Island of Zante and Italy. And she also touches on family conflict and relations

In Carol Rosenfeld’s novel The One That Got Away a barely-out-of-the-closet bridal consultant confronts love, lust, dyke drama and not having a date for New Year’s Eve.

Amy Barone’s first poetry chapbook is Views From the Driveway from Foothills Publishing.  Her poems  inspired by her 5 years’ living in Italy, dreams, growing up outside Philadelphia in the 70’s and family conflict.

 

Rex Leonowicz’s poetry is influenced by the concept of writing and creative expression as a means of resistance. His work is expressly political and explores the relationships between complex identities, movement, and public and private space.
